Mark Goethals
Mark Goethals brings over 35 years of executive-level experience in real estate development and construction to the firm. He is the Founder and CEO of JC Commercial Construction, Inc., our Vertically aligned Construction Company. This construction entity specializes in the execution of complex residential and multifamily projects in Florida and has done so for more than 14 years. Mark offers a unique dual-perspective that bridges the gap between institutional financial strategy and technical field execution. Professional Foundation - Mark began his career in the institutional equity space at Radnor Corporation, the real estate investment arm of Sunoco, after earning his degree in Finance and Economics from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. During this time, he served as a financial and risk analyst, participating in the acquisition and asset management of more than 40 regional commercial, retail, and residential assets. This background in institutional-grade investment established the rigorous, data-driven approach to project viability and risk control that guides his work today. Comprehensive Project Oversight Since 1992 - Mark transitioned from the Equity Office to on-site development in 1992, becoming a Project Manager and licensed General Contractor responsible for managing a large Southern California residential and land development portfolio. This hands-on period included the ground-up development of multiple single-family communities and a 2,000-unit land development project. This experience solidified his operating philosophy: the most effective way to protect a real estate investment is to maintain direct accountability for both the financing and the full spectrum of construction execution. Multifamily Scale - Since 2011, Mark has built a reputation as a practical and highly capable developer within the Florida multifamily market. During this time, he has served as both Development Partner and General Contractor on more than 27 heavy-lift communities totaling over 6,500 units. Building on this track record, Mark is currently leveraging his background in commercial residential construction to develop optimized, high-durability duplex projects in the Florida market. Unlike executives who manage from a distance, Mark remains a "boots-on-the-ground" principal, personally overseeing on-site operations from initial permit processing through final delivery.

Frederick Goethals
Frederick Goethals brings nearly a decade of hands on experience in commercial real estate development to his role at BrightBuild Group. Since 2016 he has worked across financial analysis, construction budgeting, and project forecasting — including building detailed proformas for multifamily developments of 100+ units. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of North Florida, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and holds an active real estate license in the state of California. Frederick has also pursued advanced training in artificial intelligence, applying emerging technology to financial analysis and development workflows. At BrightBuild Group, Frederick channels that experience into rigorous financial analysis and underwriting — ensuring every project meets the standard the company holds itself to.
